Passed into Houbigant’s son in 1807, then to his partner Chardin. Sold toilette waters, powders, and scented gloves to Marie Antoinette, perfume to Napoleon, and was appointed royal perfumer to Queen Victoria and the Tsar of Russia.
Still has main premises at 19 rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honore, Paris.
