One of the first jewellers to open in Place Vendome in Paris when Alfred Van Cleef and his brother-in-law Charles Arpels moved there in 1906, both were sons of Dutch jewel merchants. It still remains the company’s headquarters.

A floral aldehyde parfum created by Jean-Claude Elléna of Givaudan, with top notes of bergamot, blackcurrant buds and mandarin, heart notes of Jasmin, narcissus, aldehydes, rose, ylang-ylang and cloves, and base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, musk, tonka bean and amber, classified B5f. Presented in a diamond shaped bottle with a pendant stopper designed by Jacques Llorente. The marketing was under the direction of Claude Saujet of Orlané The currant advertising emphasises the fragrances stylish glamour and suitability for women of all ages and types. (2004)
