Boucheron was established by Frederic
Boucheron (1830 -1902), in 1858; a Parisian jeweller; the house soon
had a reputation for creating haute jouaillerie or sumptuous jewellery.
When Alain Boucheron, Frederic’s
the great- great- grandson Alain took over in 1980, he saw that the perfume
market could be an extension of its main business, formed Parfums
Boucheron in 1988; acquired by Gucci in 2000
