In 1903 Ernest Daltroff bought Emilia Parfums; changed the name to
Caron; after famous daredevil acrobat of the times; in 1904 moved to
Paris to 10 rue de la Paix; meets Félicie Vanpouille a fashion
designer; although lovers she would never marry him and when they separated
after 30 years she married someone else; in 1922 gives half share of
business to her. In 1941 he dies in New York, Félicie sole proprietor.
In 1962 now Mme Bergaud she sells out to Parfums Révillon. In
1970 company is taken over by US pharmaceutical company Robins Int.:
now part of Fine Fragrances & Cosmetic Group (2001) Staged a recovery
in 2003 and is now owned by the Alès Group, (2005) which also
