de Cheramy, Parfums   also known as Parfums Chermay. A cosmetic and perfumery company established by Raymond Couin at 19 rue Cambon, Paris in 1900; he later sold out to Houbigant in 1922. Cheramy Perfumes was established in Paris in 1923. Mr. Cheramy was a great friend of Robert Bienaime, who was the head perfumer for Houbigant in Paris. Later Bienaime tutored Cheramy in the creation of perfumes, and this led to Cheramy creating perfumes for both the French and the American market. Offrande or 'Offering' was created by Ernest Shiftan in 1925. He was a renowned perfumer of his time. His creations include Offrande by Cheramy in 1925, and Estee Lauder's Youth Dew in 1952.
