The oldest perfume house in the world. In 1730 Juan Famenias Floris a young Spaniard from Minorca opened barbershop in No 89, Jermyn Street, London and were perfumers to the Royal Family since 1820. Passed by marriage to Bodenham family at beginning of 1900, still run it today with a factory in Horsham opened in the mid 1960’s, up till then all the fragrances were hand-crafted in the shop’s basement. Floris does not advertise in the media but sells its range entirely by reputation. Their fragrances are accompanied by a range of other toiletry products. First perfume Lavender created in 1730.
