About the name; some say Ysatis is Aphrodite’s child or a fierce Viking with flowing golden hair leading her tribe into a new world: both exotic and mystical. Presented in a prize winning deep-set vertical faceted bottle designed by Pierre Dinand. It is still one of the world’s top selling perfumes. (2000)

The launch advertisement was of the model Eva Herzigova wearing an immaculate décolleté gown designed by Alexander McQueen who had become Givenchy’s chief designer in 1996.
