own milliner's shop in 1885 at 22 rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré;
daughter Marguerite (changes name to Marie-Blanche later) established
Parfums Lanvin in 1925 (Societe des Parfums Lanvin) and in 1946 Jeanne
dies, Marie-Blanche takes over, she dies in 1958. Maryll Lanvin, wife
of Jeanne's great-nephew takes over in 1985. In 1986 Lanvin was acquired
by L'Oreal; the company in now controlled by the Vuitton family, part
of Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessey. The company logo was designed by Paul
Iribe and shows Jeanne Lanvin playing with her daughter.
