Christian Dior was born in 1905 in Granville, Normandy, France; took over a Paris fashion house in Avenue Montaigne with Serge Heftler-Louiche on 16th December 1946; formed Parfums Christian Dior. Died in 1957. His favourite flower was lily of the valley. In 1968 the company was acquired by LVMH |
