The name means ‘mystery’ in Japanese and comes from the heroine of La Bataille a best selling novel by Claude Farrere, which tells the love story between the beautiful wife of a Japanese Admiral and a young British naval attaché, during the Russo-Japanese war. Created by Jacques Guerlain, a fruity chypre parfum with top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin, neroli and peach (C14 aldehyde), heart notes of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang and clove on base notes of sandalwood, myrrh, oak moss, cinnamon and musk, classified D4f.
